چکیده

Motivation Methylation and hydroxylation of cytosines to form 5-methylcytosine (5mC) and 5-hydroxymethylcytosine (5hmC) belong to the most important epigenetic modifications and their vital role in the regulation of gene expression has been widely recognized. Recent experimental techniques allow to infer methylation and hydroxylation levels at CpG dinucleotides but require a sophisticated statistical analysis to achieve accurate estimates. Results We present H(O)TA, a software tool based on a stochastic modeling approach, which simultaneously analyzes time course data from hairpin bisulfite sequencing and hairpin oxidative bisulfite sequencing. O-Anisidine Degradation by Fenton’s Reagent and Reaction Time Estimation

O-Anisidines (OAs) are extensively used as an intermediate for chemical reactions to produce various triphenylmethane and azo dyes, and also in manufacturing numerous pigments. They are found to be highly toxic and have carcinogenic properties, so it is imperative to treat OA solutions before disposal. In this study a promising approach to degrade OA solutions has been carried out using Fenton’...

O-11: N-a-acetyltransferase 10 Protein Regulates DNA Methylation and Embryonic Development

Background Genomic imprinting is a heritable and developmentally essential phenomenon by which gene expression occurs in an allele-specific manner1. While the imprinted alleles are primarily silenced by DNA methylation, it remains largely unknown how methylation is targeted to imprinting control region (ICR), also called differentially methylated region (DMR), and maintained. Here we show that ...
